🌟 Congratulations to 18 Millburn High School Seniors who have been selected as Semifinalists in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Competition.

This year’s semifinalists are: Saneev Chandran, Cindy Chen, Richard Dong, Alexander Faust, Ritvik Gupta, Evan Huang, Laetitia Huang, Armaan Jindal, Benjamin Li, Henry Li, Angie Liu, Felix Liu, Mahi Malhotra, Aditya Mittal, Samantha Rose, Daniel Trinchillo, Arav Wahi, and Charles Wang

They are among 16,000 Semifinalists nationwide, the highest-scoring entrants in each state on the 2023 PSAT/NMSQT, representing less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors. About 1.6 million juniors in more than 22,000 U.S. high schools entered the 2025 National Merit Scholarship program by taking the 2023 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). These Semifinalists now have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,500 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $32 million that will be offered next spring. About 90 percent of the Semifinalists are expected to attain Finalist standing, and about half of the Finalists will win a National Merit Scholarship, earning the Merit Scholar® title.

Congratulations to 89 Millburn High School seniors who have been recognized as Commended Scholars by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC). This honor goes to students who score in the top 50,000 on the PSAT/NMSQT, usually around the top 2–3% of test takers.
